Stirling Wolf

A few weeks ago I was commissioned by Stirling Council to create an art trail for their Armed Forces Day and Bannockburn live event. The resulting work is all to do with the legend of the Stirling wolf. The story goes… that when the town was going to be attacked the wolf howled and let the inhabitants know. And so it can be found as a mascot all around the city. The twelve pieces of pavement art form a trail that leads visitors around Stirling and ends at the castle – beautiful view by the way. Letters on the pavement art when put together make a word, and there was a prize to be won! tada!Wolf Craig text, Graham & Morton building, Dumbarton Road, Stirling (1971)
